Recruiting During COVID-19

Recruiting During COVID-19

You might be wondering whether you should suspend your recruiting efforts given everything that's going on right now.

I had a conversation with Tim Harris, the real estate coach, the other day and he said quite a few agents are worried because of lost deals and fewer leads. And, many of those agents are getting zero support from their brokerage or team.

Our feeling is this time represents an opportunity for you to help agents who aren't getting the leadership and support they need from their current brokerage/team.

Plus, just from a practical standpoint, this is a good time for agents to explore their options because they have more time on their hands.

As you might know, we make recruiting calls on behalf of brokerages. We're making those calls as we speak.

You might expect agents would complain about the calls considering the current environment. But, we haven't found that to be the case.

In fact, we've experienced the opposite. Our success rate over the last few days is the highest it's ever been.

The only thing that's changed is we're booking more phone/Zoom appointments than in-person appointments.

So, I would encourage you to reach out to your prospects, even if it's just to check in with them.

I would also encourage you to reach out to your current agents to see how they're doing (if you aren't already).

A little communication right now can go a long way toward recruiting and retaining agents.

Be well. Stay safe.
